OverviewCall for Post Doc Researchers in Computational Environmental Sustainability at Microsoft Research (MSR) Microsoft Research Redmond is actively seeking a qualified postdoctoral researcher to join us in advancing the state-of-the-art in computational environmental sustainability. The ideal applicant will possess awareness of environmental sustainability issues and be proficient in using computational and Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to solve problems and drive impact in this space. Example research areas include, but are not limited to: high-performance simulation, optimization (including geospatial), ML, AI, and Generative AI, applied to molecular, materials, physical, or process design, environmental issues, permitting or deployment, related to electricity, construction, or carbon removal. We collaborate extensively with other groups at Microsoft, including other groups at Microsoft Research Redmond, other Microsoft Research Labs, Microsoft's Environmental Sustainability Science and Innovation team, and Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation team.
