Description: The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) seeks a full-time non-tenure-track open rank clinical faculty member. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience in teaching university level courses in Industrial Engineering or similar fields. Duties include teaching courses, advising students, and assisting with various services to the department and the university as needed. The position requires an earned doctorate in Industrial Engineering or a related field. The position will require teaching data science/mining courses among other industrial engineering courses. The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and currently has an undergraduate enrollment of about 900 and a graduate enrollment of about 207. The salary range for the position is $80,000 to $110,000 at the Assistant Professor level, $110,000 to $130,000 at the Associate Professor level, $130,000 to $150,000 at the Full Professor level for 9 month service basis. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
