To be successful as a Systems Sales Engineer, you should have a bias for action and a sense of urgency to nurture, discover, analyze, and propose solutions for prospects and current clients. You should possess strong business-to-business sales fundamentals. Additionally, you will have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of most/all types of material handling storage solutions, including static storage systems, automation solutions, and WMS/WCS software solutions. We will hold formal performance reviews in the December timeframe annually but will maintain open dialog year-round to ensure ongoing communication. This position will cover Atlanta, GA area, plus additional account responsibilities as assigned.

Your primary duties will include the following:



  • Focus on prospecting to develop new business opportunities and achieve a healthy pipeline
  • Demonstrate strong and effective client discovery skills with Operational Leaders in manufacturing & distribution fulfillment environments
  • Create a partnership of trust and credibility with your fellow Alta Equipment Specialists who will share your primary areas of responsibility - working as a cohesive team to crosspollinate new and existing accounts.
  • Learn and grow your knowledge and understanding of PeakLogix offerings
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate business-case solutions
  • Possess the ability to think critically when developing solutions
  • Work and thrive in a team-based thinking environment when analyzing and designing storage solutions
  • Manage and nurture your client portfolio and support the use of the CRM
  • Leading and contributing to the preparation of the Bid Packages
  • Understand the steps of the sales process, proactively lead the on-boarding of your new clients, and have a bias for action towards growing existing Alta / PeakLogix clients



Your objectives will be determined and shared with you on an annual basis and will be based on the company's goals and business requirements. We believe that a successful salesperson will normally contribute $3.0M in sales per calendar year in this territory, not including additional major accounts that are the responsibility of the Regional Director. We recognize that your first 12 months of employment will include personal ramp-up time within the territory.
