Overview of the Position:

Assemble several components into small to medium sized aircraft assemblies using blueprints and or work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Utilize travelers and work instructions to assemble components without nonconformities
  • Interpret complex aerospace blueprints and schematics
  • Employ the use of fabrication and assembly tools i.e. rivet guns, drills, pneumatic grinders, bucking bars, etc.
  • Use of various hardware i.e. shear pins, various rivets types, hi-locs, Cleco, safety wire, etc.
  • Operate all shop equipment safely
  • Assist in other area as required



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Basic computer software
  • Problem solving
  • Work well with a team
  • Ability to use assembly and fabrication equipment

Education / Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. A & P license and certified in rotopeen repairs and cold working is preferred.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Is regularly required to lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
  • Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Is frequently required to talk or listen.
  • Works in intermediate noise levels, such as production areas, and shop floors.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Minimal travel required.
