JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Applied Biomedical Engineering, is seeking a part-time Research Assistant. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in laboratory and animal research and assigned a mentor with related interest and expertise. They will be responsible for performing the job duties listed: assisting in laboratory procedures in order to gain hands on experience in wet bench laboratory research; coordinate abstraction of patient data from charts in compliance with protocols while ensuring data consistency; and collecting, entering, and analyzing data. This position is a part-time position working 24 hours a week or less. Specific work hours are determined by the Division but will comply with the selected candidate's schedule Experience/Education Guidelines: Bachelor's Degree 1+ year related experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:
