The Communications Specialist is responsible for working cross-functionally to perform a variety of tasks, both internally and externally, that builds positive awareness of our solutions and services, while additionally reinforcing the WellSky brand and promises. This role directly contributes to WellSky's success by executing communication plans that deliver against actionable business objectives and ensuring that the organization's message is clear, consistent, and impactful.

A day in the life.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Writing and editing content for external use, including press releases, byline articles, thought leadership collateral, and other content as requested
  • Writing and editing content for internal use, including departmental and companywide emails, executive communications, intranet articles, and other content as requested
  • Assist communications team with planning and creating content for companywide Town Halls and other events
  • Updating website content, including copy edits, blog posts, press releases, and other content requests
  • Assisting in management of social media accounts, partnering with other team members to source and review content, ensuring regular updates, providing recurring dashboard reports, and flagging any concerning content or inbound messages
  • Identifying award opportunities that position WellSky as an industry leader or employer of choice; and preparing, submitting, and tracking award submissions
  • Monitoring industry and client news
  • Researching relevant industry trends to source ideas for communications and content pieces
  • Understanding emerging internal and external communications and marketing trends

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2-4 years related work experience

Additional job expectations applicable to this position include:

  • Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned
