Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications Studies, or similar
  • Zero to one year of work experience
  • Previous experience with interpersonal communication and technologically-mediated communications
  • Traditional experience developing internal and external communications via email, blog, chat/SMS, and/or social media posts to share information, promote events, or enhance engagement and user experience
  • Experience preparing for and conducting information sessions and presentations for individuals, groups, or in support of events or conferences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Currently hold or be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience creating, proofreading, and coordinating the review of templates with customer stakeholders for various marketing channels, to ensure a consistent voice and tone


Desired Skills

  • Previous experience collaborating across projects or divisions on marketing and communications initiatives
  • Experience representing a company or organization working a booth at a fair, event, or conference to share information or promote a technology
  • Ability to plan, organize, and schedule communications for multiple projects and customers
  • Experience developing print and digital content for customers and events
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Ability to effectively share concepts and ideas with various audiences through verbal and written methods
  • Previous experience developing and delivering email communications via Salesforce campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate with the stakeholders to design and refine branding elements on the landing pages and internal Salesforce community pages
  • Experience analyzing data to provide insights and to suggest innovative ideas to optimize marketing strategies
  • Ability to work with customers to ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing materials and mediums
  • Experience conducting audits of marketing content to ensure alignment with best practices


Description

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is seeking a Communications Specialist to join the Cloud Services Integration Team (CSIT), which is currently supporting multiple DoD customers providing Salesforce configuration, development, and integration support.

  • Acting as an organized team player
  • Developing internal and external communications via email, blog, chat/SMS, and/or social media posts to share information, promote events, or enhance engagement and user experience
  • Working directly with internal and external customers to review and clarify requirements, develop and modify communications templates to meet those requirements, and deliver communications to aid in user adoption and provide event information and support
  • Using strong written and verbal communication skills, as interfacing with external vendors and Government customers (along with periodic travel) is required
  • Operating in a hybrid office (versus remote) situation, which may change according to customer requirements
