Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Project Administrator. You will be responsible for performing all processing tasks required for assigned projects to support set up, reporting, revenue recognition and billing of projects.

What you'll do:



  • Maintain job files for accuracy and completeness to assure proper accounting and compliance according to policy and procedure.
  • Track all aspects of jobs including but not limited to current recorded contract value and billings, potential changes to contracts, use and release of prepaid costs on jobs, Project Status updates, supporting documentation of booked and potential contract value and costs.
  • Track job set up requests, assign job number according to policy and set up job folder.
  • Process all Billing Requests submitted and enter billing into system.
  • Identify special requirements including but not limited to Certified Payroll.
  • Acquire sufficient documentation supporting set up and proper accounting for each type of contract including but not limited to contract combinations, contract separations, taxability, phases, project status, and costs used as a basis for revenue recognition.
  • Track all Change Order submissions and set up in System according to Policy and procedure.
  • Prepare, verify, and submit all Certified Payroll requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with Branch personnel to assure all requirements and due dates of electronic Textura billings can be and are met in compliance with corporate policy that system billings cannot be completed unless Textura draws are open.


What you'll bring:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in a project accounting/admin capacity.
  • Clerical experience with exposure to contracts and AIA documents preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with exposure to the rest of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.


Within 6-months, you'll:



  • Gain the ability to accurately report and disseminate information to management and team.
  • Assist as required in Job Closing review including audits and follow up all job folders for closed job requirements.
  • Learn special requirements for certified payroll.


Within 12-months, you'll:



  • Create and update reports, training materials and documentation.
  • Identify requirements and request insurance certificates.
