As a result, our Americas Work Dynamics Controllership function has an immediate opening for the right candidate to join us in our critical Finance Transformation and help set the stage to achieve our vision of "Beyond."

RESPONSIBILITIES
In a high-powered team environment, the successful candidate will apply accounting & compliance theory to real world commercial real estate integrated facilities management and project & development service agreements engagements with varying degrees of contractual and service delivery complexity. Routine duties will include a variety of professional level accounting duties including preparing reconciliations of financial accounts as well as preparing accounting entries and other reports and records that ultimately feed into our SEC reported results. Additionally, this role will help maintain the accuracy of our financial systems, assist in the preparation and development of leading edge Sarbanes Oxley supporting workpapers, support external and internal audits; deliver monthly close results with no surprises; and assist across a variety of global segment specific business related activities. Responsibilities include:

Reporting and Analysis
Assist in the accounting and financial reporting function for Americas WD business, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes
Ensure that critical close deadlines are met and all financial details are recorded properly in the correct period with all required control processes followed; escalate and communicate any critical close issues and ensure timely resolution.
Perform periodic and ad-hoc value-added analysis of results against prior period performance; investigate changes or trends and document the results of investigation
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key and non-key accounts and communicate identified adjustments

Accounting and Auditing
Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company; escalate inconsistencies, problems, and recommendations to the attention of management
Ensure proper revenue recognition and contract set up within PDS Variable, maintaining the standards of ASC 606 revenue recognition
Assist in efforts to standardize accounting processes across regions
Perform internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; assist in resolution of any accounting and internal control issues
Assist in identifying areas to centralize and streamline accounting processes to create efficiencies on the overall PDS Variable team

Leadership/Team Management
Establish and maintain relationships within WD Controllership team, as well across the broader WD Finance team (Business Partnering, FP&A)
Assist in onboarding and mentorship of any potential new team members
Partner with the business/operations on supporting the growth and expansion of the PDS Variable businesses; assist the business to resolve invoicing and other issues
Review work prepared by staff accountants

QUALIFICATIONS

Functional Competencies:
Strong understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and ability to effectively communicate key issues to leadership
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
Excellent in financial process management and best practice influence
Public accounting experience a strong plus
Experience with financial reporting systems and compilation of core financial statements for SEC registrants a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 3+ years of experience
CPA preferred
Detail oriented with ability to think strategically and analytically
