Network Installation Specialist Level I (IT)

***This position requires an active Secret clearance.***

Perform support services for the installation maintenance of IT infrastructure and cabling, communication and Telephone systems hardware and software subsystems and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Network Installation Specialist Level I (IT): $55,000-$62,000 per year.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Network Installation Specialist Level I (IT) Responsibilities Include:



  • Coordinates with company management, the client, site personnel and other team leads to engineer solutions to problems and to satisfy emerging requirements.
  • Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.
  • Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.
  • Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
  • Performs a range of integrity testing and interviews customers to gather information about problems.
  • Ensures timeliness and quality of physical and written deliverables.
  • Ensures effective communication, management of tasks and quality assurance of all work performed to client standards.
  • Formulates and enforces work and quality standards, establishing schedules, reviewing work in progress, and manages personnel.
  • Conduct site surveys, analyzes IT 'As-built' drawings to determine current facility configurations and existing infrastructure support systems, labeling schemes, equipment and hardware.
  • Analyzes existing configurations and support systems to evaluate power supplies, wiring, fire suppression, safety and environmental status with regard to IT hardware and cabling infrastructure.
  • Leads team to map the facility for Data, Telephone, assess the site's capacity for future expansion of network systems, types, circuit sizes, technical refresh, Voice Telephone systems, WLAN (wireless local area network) and related systems implantation and the appropriateness of current power, support levels in relation to the pending expansions as needed
  • Executes IT, communication and security systems, subsystem and component level testing in support of design development, integration, and fielding operations.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Maintenance shall be completed utilizing "best practices" for the industry.
  • Responsible to clean or repair any damage to walls, ceilings, floors, etc. incurred during work.
  • Provides survey reports and trip reports of all findings and work performed for delivery to the customer.
  • Coordinates to ensure all as-built drawings are updated with any and all modifications that were made or mapped during the remote site visit.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Network Installation Specialist Level I (IT) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • AA/AS (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of experience performing Access Control Security System work
  • AMAG Installer/Maintainer certification course
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be able to responsibly and independently work and lead in remote locations with no supervision.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Network Technician I, Network Support Specialist, or IT Installation Technician.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
