GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology Research is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Technician to join Dr. Lael Yonker's COVID-19 laboratory. Our lab has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by instigating a bio-repository comprised of various biospecimens from pediatric patients. As a Research Technician, you will be performing a series of in-vitro assays and standard laboratory procedures to investigate COVID-19 until the study's completion, as well as assisting with the ongoing COVID-19 bio-repository. The main focus of this research is to understand the pathophysiology of various post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC) related conditions. More specifically, our current project is focused on examining the role of white blood cell functionality in Long COVID. There is also opportunity to be involved in Sepsis and Cystic Fibrosis projects. Overall, our research aims to benefit people with various pediatric pulmonary ailments. Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required. EXPERIENCE: College graduates with some prior lab experience (via course work, internships, etc.) preferred, but those without any lab experience will be considered.
