The Product Director is responsible for strategic analysis, creation and ongoing management of specialty behavioral condition programs, including but not limited to, Severe Mental Illness (SMI) Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Autism, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Solutions created by this team will be positioned in every channel - employer, payor, provider, government, and more. Solutions are likely to include components of case management, utilization management, network and more. This is a newly created role and an opportunity to enter a team from the very beginning. Our goal is to create programs for people who have diagnosed specialty conditions to drive the highest quality, evidence-based, most efficient care, and to wrap the greatest amount of supports around them (and their care-givers) as possible, leveraging the breadth and depth of our Enterprise assets. The ideal candidate for this position has a broad range of skill - is able to think conceptually and idealistically about the future of the programs and capabilities, create consumer segmentation to understand what consumers want/need, how we fill gaps in the market and compete well in each segment, and then take these ideas and make them real; executing in detailed fashion the creation and operationalization of the programs. To execute this work, candidate will be required to work with business, operations, technology, finance, sales/growth, and other leaders across the enterprise to drive the strategy, direction, creation and ongoing product and performance management for specialty behavioral conditions. The candidate will posses a broad skillset including a solid leadership presence and bias to action, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit, strategic relationship management, financial management, negotiation skills, the ability to navigate the Enterprise, work across broad functional teams, and communicate and partner across all levels of the organization to deliver. This position reports directly to the VP of Specialty Behavioral in Optum's Whole Health Solutions team. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
