Position Description
Responsible for receiving, reviewing, compiling, and processing of all release of information (ROI) requests for patient medical records pursuant to HIPAA and TTUHSC regulations and guidelines. Possesses a thorough understanding and working knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Provides medical records support to all clinics within the School of Medicine and other clerical duties as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, clinic staff, vendors, and others via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Assists with the coordination of specialized solutions and may collect and analyze specific data.

Major/Essential Functions
Working knowledge of the daily operations
and procedures for the Amarillo campus
Electronic Health Records division.

Possess understanding of institutional
policies and procedures and assist with
departmental administrative processes.

Provide helpdesk support for the medical
records and Follow My Health systems.

Scanning patient records/releases and
maintaining accurate departmental records.

Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; six months to one year of directly related experience within a general office or healthcare environment.
