Vaco is working with a leading manufacturing company based in Los Angeles, who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing company in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will manage the accounts payable team, overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the daily processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in the accounts payable process.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Manage vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and maintaining positive communication.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Prepare and reconcile accounts payable reports for management.
  • Assist with audits, ensuring that all supporting documentation is accurate and available.
  • Monitor cash flow and suggest improvements to optimize payment schedules.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline the accounts payable process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.


Pay: 34-37/hr

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
