Join our dedicated team at the Quincy Salvation Army Emergency Shelter, where we provide crucial support and safe haven to those in need. Our emergency shelter is dedicated to offering a welcoming and secure environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. While social work experience is helpful, it is not required. We are seeking compassionate Shelter Monitors to help us maintain our high standards of care and service. We invite those who possess empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour overnight shift differential.
Shifts: Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Status: Multiple openings for Part-time, working up to 19 hours/week.

The Quincy Area Command serves Adams, Pike and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri as well as transients who have come to our community and find themselves in a homeless situation. It is the goal of our program to equip our residents with the knowledge and life skills development needed to find employment and suitable, affordable housing that they might become self-sufficient individuals.
The Emergency Shelter can accommodate up to 20 people with rooms dedicated to single men and women as well as families. The building also includes our Family Services programs and Food Pantry/Breadline.
