Job Details

The Infusion Reimbursement Strategy Consultant will remotely lead reimbursement strategies and optimize reimbursement knowledge and processes to ensure positive reimbursement outcomes for Cencora Infusion Strategy health system customers. Knowledge of national and regional payer policies, coding and procedures, we well as government payers is required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Program reimbursement strategy and its implementation with all consulting/ Infusion Strategy customers

  • Acts as Infusion reimbursement subject matter expert

  • Optimizes reimbursement expertise and best practice across all Programs

  • Regularly monitors commercialization conversion rates and leads reimbursement conversion strategies

  • Identifies Payor trends, opportunities, and challenges

  • Drives involvement with client discussions regarding commercialization and conversion strategies

  • Works with Learning and Training Department to provide content and approval for Program reimbursement training (Current and Future)

  • Oversees escalation pathway for complex reimbursement cases

  • Collaborates with our Infusion Strategy external partners and internal Consulting team to identify new payer strategies and reimbursement policies that can be of value to our consulting customers

  • Identifies efficiencies in the current procedures and develop recommendations for enhancement

  • Regularly communicates with the cross functional team to provide updates regarding commercialization processes and provide areas for improvement

  • Creates and monitors KPIs to monitor success of the commercialization and identify areas for improvement

  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of the CRM systems and tasks involved in the reimbursement process

  • Works on special projects that are assigned as needed

  • Fosters proactive, continued quality improvement

  • Must be willing to travel to, up to 40%

  • Performs related duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

  • 5+ years' experience with Infusion billing, reimbursement and/or payer contracting.

  • University degree in related field, Bachelors preferred or equivalent

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech industry is an asset

  • Experience using home infusion software (CareTend, Brightree, etc.)

  • Previous consulting experience preferred

  • Requires broad knowledge and training in the fields of business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or similar vocations

  • Ability to assess complex external client relationships and develop comprehensive strategic approach

  • General knowledge of medication reimbursement, patient assistance programs, CRM system/database elements and functionality; operational policies and processes

  • Dynamic leader who can energize multidiscipline work teams to learn and apply new skills and /or techniques to respond to the business needs

  • Knowledge of full-service call center programs an asset

  • Knowledge of billing best practices in home infusion and infusion suites required and infusion clinic (buy-and-bill) preferred

  • Knowledge of public, private and federal reimbursement is critical

  • Strong customer/client management background

  • Exceptional project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation

  • Good Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks along a parallel process

  • Strong Decision-making capabilities

  • Critical thinking skills, creative and innovative solutions to internal or external client needs

  • Strong industry and company business knowledge

  • Strategic thinker with long term planning experience

  • Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be able to develop and grow talent

  • Strong organization agility, be able to manage team through change and lead by example

  • Ability to proficiently use computer and good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Strong business acumen competency

Salary Range*
$121,000 - 186,230

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
