Senior Program Technician

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

Cherokee Insights is seeking a Senior Program Support Technician to provide general support to MICECP recruiting mission.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Program Technician Responsibilities Include:



  • Plan and coordinate military and civilian Internal Hiring Boards.
  • Coordinate with the MICECP Accessions Manager and AFSC leadership to determine MICECP hiring requirements and priorities.
  • Assist the MICECP Accessions manager in developing and updating the MICECP recruiting approach.
  • Develop interview questioning plans and provide to the MICECP Accessions manager for validation.
  • Review and process MICECP employment applications within two duty days of receipt.
  • Screen initial calls, reply to applicants' inquiries, and provide basic program information and application procedures within one duty day and maintain a running tracker of all inquiries.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries and schedule advisement sessions in accordance with MICECP recruiting team schedules, and manage team calendars.
  • Enter, update at least once weekly and maintain applicant data and records in the MICECP accessions database.
  • Prepare and send e-mail notice to applicants within two duty days of determining authorized application venues.
  • Advise and assist applicants regarding application process.
  • Perform all tasks necessary for applicants' security clearance validation and processing.
  • Assemble and maintain MICECP applicant packets.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, strategies, reports, plans, meeting notes, presentations, etc. at the direction of the MICECP Accessions Manager.
  • Perform related duties in support of MICECP recruitment.
  • Draft memorandums, reports, and other required correspondence IAW AR 25-50.
  • Advise and assist the MICECP recruiting team on effective ways to identify the most qualified candidates.
  • Conduct preliminary applicant assessment activity such as reference checks, review of recorded interviews and draft assessment reports for recruiters.
  • Manage applicants access to HireVue vacancy announcement links and initiate HireVue announcements when required.
  • Coordinate and deconflict vacancies with MICECP FM shop.
  • Work in conjunction with the MICECP HR team to move new hire actions through the staffing and onboarding process
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Senior Program Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in the human resources, recruitment or career management field relating to DoD intelligence professionals.
  • BA or BS Degree in human resources, business management or related field; an additional five (5) years of experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in military correspondence, policies or procedures, providing technical guidance on style, composition, and correct formats, organizing workload and master suspense logs, providing customer service.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of staffing and coordination experience at the MACOM level.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
