Quality Engineer
Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager, assures that planning and executing cost-effective quality programs that will help ensure contractual compliance to quality requirement and the integrity of delivered product.

Job Summary
Support quality for current and future
manufacturing requirements and determine the most effective methods to improve
productivity through the management of people and technology.
- Ensure that all contractual and regulatory quality requirements are defined and communicated on assigned customers and programs.
- Support all departments to ensure control of receiving, in-process and final quality of product.
- Recommend more efficient and quality-oriented processes.
- Provide customer interface on quality issues and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, quoting and contract management to establish quality procedures for meeting customer requirements.
- Interface with suppliers to correct problems dealing with purchased materials.
- Provide support to manufacturing including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions to resolve problems in product manufactured.
- Assist in defining and monitoring the quality management system and in developing an organizational culture that stresses quality processes.
- Assist in monitoring personnel and processes to ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Update area supervision regarding concerns
- Participates in root cause and corrective action investigation efforts, resulting from MRB activity.
- Assist plant personnel in maintaining the Quality Systems Registration, and highlighting areas for continuous improvement.
- Participate in internal audit programs.
- Inspects product when/if there is a need and requested by Quality Manager.
- Analyze, review and prepare necessary reports/data summaries, as required.
- Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
- Responsible for complying with quality system (ISO 9001, AS 9100, Nadcap) and Aerospace OEM system requirements.
- Provide support in order to submit tags to customers; closes out rejection reports.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Under direct supervision, incumbents will be assigned to established programs or new programs with limited technical complexity.
- Other duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.
- Bachelor of Science or four-year technical degree required.
- Up to three (3) years technical experience is required, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to utilize measuring equipment, and hands-on capabilities to work on multiple projects at the same time without supervision.
- Good math skills, familiarity with personal computer, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Internet, and Performance (MRP system) preferred.
