Position Title: CNC Operator
Wage: $19-$21/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring an Entry-Level CNC Operator at a company in Elkhorn, WI. CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate CNC Lathe mill machines - Operate two or more machines that perform a series of machining operations such as turning, drilling, boring, threading, and milling to specifications - Monitor machine operation and verify conformance of workpiece to specifications using measuring instruments - Consistently check parts per inspection instructions; ensure non-conforming parts are controlled per protocols - Adjust part dimensions by making offsets, changing inserts, properly center and touch off tools as needed - Perform basic troubleshooting - Consistently clean and maintain machines and related equipment to ensure optimal conditions for success - Examine processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement - Maintain work area cleanliness and organization - Communicate daily feedback on notable items to the following shift team members at the end of the shift CNC Operator Requirements: - High school diploma, GED or equivalent - Minimum 2 of years machine shop experience - Basic blueprint reading knowledge - Basic computer knowledge - Good mechanical aptitude - Mazak knowledge a plus - CMM knowledge a plus - Understanding of GD&T - Knowledge of metrology and different measuring techniques - Excellent communication skills - Ability to lift 50lbs QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
