Material Coordinator

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator for its New Orleans, Louisiana Facility.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Confirmed safety record and stable work history
  • Must work safely and follow procedures

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Operating forklift and pick up truck
  • Loading/unloading freight
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Shipping and receiving of parts
  • Organizing inventory for storage
  • Packaging of pumps and other equipment for storage/shipping
  • Performs inventory cycle counting
  • Monthly shop inspections of equipment including some maintenance
  • Tool inspections
  • Assist mechanics in job task
  • Cleaning materials and pump parts
  • General shop cleaning
  • This role is a safety sensitive position.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • HS diploma
  • 5 years experience with relevant work experience.
  • Computer Skills, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge. Experience with APCI known manufacturers and vendors.
  • Work with limited supervision with reporting communication requirements.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Work Hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • This is a plant-based position.
