POSITION SUMMARY:

Boston Medical Center Health System's Marketing Analytics Intern will help optimize bmc.org by maintaining, analyzing, and building various internal and external data sets, dashboards and visualizations. This position will be responsible for optimizing bmc.org for search based on key data discovery and analysis. The Marketing Analytics Intern is also responsible for monitoring the performance of organic and paid digital content and providing recommendations to the Digital Team. The position reports to the Marketing Analytics Manager and works within the Digital Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Data Collection & Analysis


  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing marketing data from various channels such as website traffic, social media, email campaigns, and SEO efforts.
  • Monitor website traffic, bounce rates, user interactions, conversion rates and engagement to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Assist in identifying any technical issues or areas for improvement that impact website performance.
  • Help analyze user journey data to identify points of friction or potential optimization.

Reporting & Visualization


  • Generate weekly and monthly reports and create visual dashboards that present actionable insights to the marketing team.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and research industry trends.
  • Assist in identifying new healthcare marketing trends, platforms, or tools that can enhance digital marketing efforts.

SEO & SEM Analytics


  • Track and analyze the performance of SEO and SEM initiatives, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, and paid search campaigns.
  • Assist in keyword research to optimize healthcare content and increase organic reach.
  • Support in evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by analyzing metrics like click-through rates (CTR), cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on investment (ROI).
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement in marketing strategies.
