About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Community Engagement Specialist- male candidate preferred to join our team at the Day Reporting Center (DRC) in Santa Barbara, CA. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in helping individuals on parole successfully reenter society. Our DRCs provide community-based alternatives to incarceration, where clients work closely with case managers and employment specialists to develop meaningful goals and make positive changes in their lives.

What You'll Do
As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will:

  • Verify and document satisfactory completion of community service hours.
  • Coordinate transportation, meals, and emergency situation responses at community service sites in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Complete intake paperwork and assist in client orientation.
  • Coordinate and schedule client assignments to community service projects.
  • Assess transportation, insurance, and equipment needs and recommend budget and work schedules.
  • Conduct sanitation and safety inspections of all internal and external areas and equipment.
  • Completes additional client paperwork, maintains files and performs other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
  • Stay informed about CSI's programs, policies, and procedures to offer clients the best possible support.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the DRC by performing other tasks as needed.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possess sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
