Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Process Engineer! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since. Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Process Engineer (Plants) to join our Plant team! In this role, you will be responsible for improving Quality processes for the operations network. You will coordinate continuous improvement projects, providing controls and analysis to ensure efficiency of operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide training and ensure adherence to Quality standards. Additionally, you will assess existing FSQA practices and procedures to identify areas for growth and assist FSQA teams in implementing new policies.

A Day in the Life...

* Provide a process engineering presence in the Operations area to assure interaction with team members from all shifts, offering appropriate process engineering support and feedback for the teams.
* Act as the technical lead on all changes to existing process systems in the facility as well as new processing technologies to be developed.
* Initiate, implement and cost justify modifications in the areas of yield, throughput of batching and thermal processing, utility savings, and other process areas.
* Apply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages.
* Continually improve the rates, efficiencies, yields and costs of manufacturing systems.
* Interface with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to resolve equipment availability issues.
* Prepare reports, feasibility studies, expenditure requests, etc.
* Maintain an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State and Local engineering codes and regulations.

What We Are Looking For:

* Bachelor's degree
* Three to five years of food manufacturing experience
* Experience in thermal processing, heat exchangers, hot fill juice production, batching systems, product recovery systems, CIP technology, and bulk receiving systems
* Experience in R&D, capital project management and lean manufacturing
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
* Process improvement mindset

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 3 Years of Experience
