The M&A Manager will analyze and execute strategic investments (organic and M&A projects) for EDPRNA Distributed Generation. In addition, you will focus on originating and executing attractive M&A opportunities in distributed solar and storage to cater to the business needs of the company. You will also facilitate investment-related communications and decision making with EDPRNA and other business units including corporate areas of EDP.

Main responsibilities:



  • Analyze greenfield projects in terms of economic risks and strategic options
  • Perform valuations and prepare investment memoranda to assist EDPRNA DG and EDP decision making bodies in making investment/divestment decisions
  • Originate and evaluate M&A opportunities and assist in the negotiation of transaction documentation and structuring
  • Lead due diligence in M&A opportunities
  • Coordinate external advisors (e.g. legal counsel, financial institutions) and direct internal teams (e.g., construction, engineering, development, , legal and other origination teams) for due diligence efforts prior to execution of merger & acquisition (M&A) transactions
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, developers, banks / advisors / financial intermediaries, and consultants, to ensure participation in relevant market opportunities
  • Support training and development of more junior IM&A team members in key financial, due diligence and transaction documentation negotiation.
  • Develop and update financial models and lead valuation-related initiatives, including support to Capital Markets team in Tax equity modelling.
  • Additional duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Finance or a related field
  • 5+ years in core Valuation, M&A, corporate finance, or investment analysis
  • Strong knowledge of valuation, financing, accounting, and strategic analysis
  • M&A/due diligence experience
  • M&A deal negotiation experience will be a plus
  • Understanding of Microsoft products.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Salary hiring range: $130,000 - $160,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of many compensation, benefits, and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect most of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
