This is a hybrid position based out of Feeding America's Chicago office location. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Employees can be in the office an average of 2 days a week (when not travelling for work) and work from home on other days. Employees also have access to a 30-day "work anywhere" program during the course of each calendar year that can be combined with PTO and/or holidays.

The Opportunity

The Specialist supports Corporate Partnerships team leadership and relationship managers in fundraising and business development efforts. This position spends 50% of time supporting relationship managers with account management and 50% of time supporting team operations.

Compensation

As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. The salary range listed below represents the starting to mid-point salaries for positions and comparable roles at this level at our organization and candidates should expect to be offered a salary near the starting point of the range that is listed on the job posting. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions. Salary Range: $78,000 to $83,000 Based on Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Support account management on behalf of relationship managers, including but not limited to contributing to partnership follow-up and project management; supporting proposal and presentation development, grant and report writing, prospect and donor research; coordinating meetings and relevant materials; creating and executing donor recognition efforts; and Salesforce data entry.
  • Coordinate network communication on behalf of the Corporate Partnerships team, including updating internal websites, co-hosting, and collecting content for webinars, and serving as the central point of contact for food bank inquiries.
  • Coordinate with General Counsel to update and maintain legal resources for fundraisers on an annual basis. Support Feeding America's annual financial audit and related recordkeeping.
  • Partner with Finance and Philanthropy Operations teams to support the regular distribution of corporate donations to food banks. Serve as liaison to Finance for issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate distributions. Support relationship managers in submitting the required information needed for each distribution.
  • Provide general operations and administrative support for the Corporate Partnerships department, including but not limited to creating invoices, processing contracts, and coordinating corporate partnership team meetings. As needed, provides internal process training for new relationship managers.
  • Provide communication support on behalf of relationship managers, including creating and maintaining content for internal communication channels, supporting content creation for digital donor stewardship assets and reviewing and editing campaign materials.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for cause marketing for the Development department, including coordinating cause marketing training and following up with companies not in compliance.
  • Support relationship managers with online donation campaigns including donation reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Feeding America Development team's The Stewardship Center (TSC) to support the corporate partnerships team processes for stewarding donors.
  • Drive process improvements related to relationship management and information sharing internally and with the network.
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team leadership, as requested. Represent the Corporate Partnerships team on cross-functional committees, special projects and task forces, as needed, with permission of supervisor.


Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience (non-profit or for-profit).
  • Autonomous; ability to work proactively with limited supervision when necessary.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with account management or fundraising operations considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, fundraising databases and website content management platforms considered a plus.
