Position Summary |
THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 1 YEAR.
The Conlon lab is focused on identifying why antibiotics fail in the treatment of infection and identifying new ways to treat infection. We require a research technician to carry out high and medium throughput screens of small molecules to identify new leads for antibiotic development. The technician will also perform murine infection models using our approved protocols. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
General knowledge of applicable area of microbiology techniques to perform laboratory procedures and tests in support of research protocol. Ability to conduct routine tests and procedures dictated by the research protocols. For example, ability to make solutions, reagents, media, plates, competent cells. Ability to organize and tabulate data; plot and graph data and fit to required equations, ability to ensure quality control of data collection. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience working with infectious agents.
Experience handling mice.
Experience performing high throughput screens. |
