Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Sr. Medical Staff System Administrator to join the Team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday, remote position.

The Sr. Medical Staff System Administrator leads credentialing for the Provider Communication Team to consolidate and centralize provider communication function. Leads team that will serve as a central point of contact for provider communications. Provides leadership and coordination to internal and external groups to ensure smooth project collaboration between stakeholders, including Credentialing, HIM, and MU team. Research and correct provider communication errors related to Meaningful Use. Evaluate Research and Process provider demographic updates. Add new Providers upon request both internal and external organization databases and SureScripts. Provides routine and ad hoc reports related to Provider Communication Team.

Sr. Medical Staff System Administrator Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages referring Physician list which includes new Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers and maintaining existing with expirable management.
  • Manages Expirable Team which includes Medical Licenses, DEA Licenses, Certificates of Insurance, Board Certifications and ACLS for Physician, APP, AHP and PhD/PsyD as per Bylaw Requirements.
  • Manages and Maintains EPIC interface partnering with Senior EPIC Architects and Senior Systems Analyst.
  • Manages Physician addresses and assures HIPAA compliance.
  • Implements and manages modules to support medical staff software.
  • Build and troubleshoot extremely complex report writing in Crystal, Oracle, Tableau, EPIC reporting. Database Development like Sequel/SQL, Access, Proprietary Software like our Credentialing System.
  • Maintains Security and Access to the System.
  • Responsible for Medical Staff Office for the Web (MSOW) software upgrades, testing, implementation.
  • Perform monthly audits of database to assure compliance with standard work, standard reporting, oversees and assures data is updated to standard.
  • Works with EPIC Certified Order Teams and EPIC Interface Analysts, EPIC Architects to assure interface is working properly and displaying standard information.
  • Maintains interface for Physician Directory to Intranet and Internet.

Sr. Medical Staff System Administrator Additional Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, remote
  • Education: Associate Degree
  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience managing IT application analysis and support. Recent relevant experience managing IT application analysis and support. Requires project management expertise and leadership skills in addition to extensive technical experience. Requires knowledge of healthcare informatics, team dynamics, and broad range of technology. Previous experience working with MSOW software preferred.
