Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a mid-level DevOps (MLOps) engineer with a background in cloud-based systems who is technically proficient and eager to learn. A successful candidate should be detail-oriented with a history of hands-on MLOps/system administration experience. They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers as well as less technical team members (e.g., project managers, customers, executive teams)

Responsibilities



  • Manage and automate software development operational processes accurately and securely within a cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and streamline existing processes.
  • Administer multiple customers' cloud environments simultaneously, ensuring appropriate redundancy and security compliance are maintained throughout.
  • Provide Level 2 technical support, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Build tools and automations to reduce errors and improve customer experience.
  • Design and document procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Work within a growing engineering team to build and support technical solutions across customers and projects.
  • Design, implement, and maintain machine learning workflows, data pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy and monitor machine learning models in production and make sure to exceed customer expectations.
  • Optimize the performance of machine learning models in production.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems.
  • Automate the deployment and scaling of machine-learning models using EKS.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the machine learning infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve the development process and infrastructure.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • Autonomous, problem-solving attitude
  • Three-five years professional, hands-on experience in a DevOps/MLOps or similar software engineering role.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with FedRAMP/ATO processes, specifically in AWS GovCloud.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure. Certification(s) a plus.
  • SQL, relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus Grafana and ELK.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure such as code and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
  • Ability to design and implement ML workflows, data pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Experience with deploying and managing machine learning models in production environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for machine learning infrastructure, including encryption and secure data storage.
  • Experience with performance optimization and scaling of machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Experience with machine learning models management tools such as MLflow and ModelDB.
  • Experience with machine learning distributed frameworks such as Ray or Dusk.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
