THE POSITION

The PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader to join their Office of Gun Violence Prevention as a Program Analyst 3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will support our state's gun violence prevention and reduction strategies. This includes serving as a program lead for multiple initiatives, a coordinator of community engagement and technical resources, and a liaison with external and internal partners and stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying and providing information on how to improve gun violence prevention and intervention strategies, collaborating with our partners to identify strategies and approaches for improving services and support for gun violence victims, and addressing the intersections of gun violence with domestic violence and intimate partner violence.

Work involves analyzing how Commonwealth-funded state and local initiatives align with the Office's strategic plan and facilitating meetings, partnerships, and connections between state, county, and local officials and community-based organizations. This includes overseeing the development and delivery of relevant technical assistance to local and community partners, coordinating applications for additional funding, and preparing official analysis and reports. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Incumbent will be required to report to the office at least 1 day every month, and as required by their supervisor. Telework Agreements are subject to change. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Program Analyst 2; or
  • Three years of analytical experience, two of which include professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
