Salary: $80,000-85,000

Scope of Work:
  • Will be sole Network Administrator on the team and will work with a part-time consultant that is helping out.
  • Experience with Rukus and FortiNet is nice-to-have
  • Experience working for an MSP is a plus

Position Overview
The Network Administrator will manage and maintain computer networks, hardware, software, and related systems. This includes ensuring network security, performing disaster recovery operations, and addressing technical issues. The role requires managing multiple projects, maintaining HIPAA/HITRUST-compliant network infrastructure, and collaborating with users to resolve system challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support and collaborate with the IT Help Desk.
  • Maintain stability of LAN/WAN infrastructure and circuits.
  • Monitor networks proactively to ensure availability and perform maintenance.
  • Utilize network hardware/software (e.g., Ruckus, HP, Cisco, FortiGate) and command-line interface tools.
  • Design and implement networks using Layer 2/3 switches and firewalls.
  • Administer LAN/WAN devices, including firewalls, routers, and wireless controllers.
  • Support and transition phone systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and access controls.
  • Support multi-region network operations, including Cloud-based systems.
  • Perform network and Wi-Fi device implementations following change control processes.
  • Maintain an inventory of infrastructure assets and assist end-users with network-related issues.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in IP networking design and architecture.
  • Proficiency with Ruckus network hardware, SonicWALL, FortiGate firewalls or related brand technologies.
  • Experience in VPNs, VPLS, ISCSI, and virtual server environments.
  • Familiarity with tools like Wireshark and sFlow/NetFlow for troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud-based phone systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Background with enterprise servers (Microsoft Server 2016/2012) and virtual environments (VMware 7.0-8.0).
  • Command-line interface proficiency.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork.
