Cost Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Cost Analyst to support the Aviation Turbine Engine (ATE) PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Will perform detailed and complex calculations, and formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Must be able to work independently or with minimal guidance to accomplish the assigned task.
• Use computer software to calculate estimates and develop IGCEs and other cost-related data reports.
• Collaborate with ATE personnel, management, support organizations, stakeholders, and peers on estimates.
• Provide cost analysis and estimating support to the Business Management Division for Domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements.
• Supports Price and Availability requests to support Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) that support potential FMS requirements.
• Will conduct and/or perform Business Case Analyses (BCAs).
• Will conduct and/or perform Cost Business Analyses (CBAs).

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred Master's Degree.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Evaluating detailed specifications such as how to minimize costs without sacrificing quality.
• Working knowledge of cost details such as cost impact.
• Working knowledge of practices/principles of cost analysis and cost estimating.
• Accurately and efficiently able to work on fixed deadlines with attention to detail.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Develop strong working relationships with ATE personnel and management, support organizations, stakeholders, and peers through timely, consistent, transparent, and effective communication.
• Remain responsive and flexible to organizational changes.
• Possess oral and written communication skills for effective working relationships, interactions with customers, and exchange of information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of ACEIT.
