Description Maine Medical Partners After successful completion of training, remote work may be possible. We are seeking a medical secretary to join our fast-paced neurosurgical office to support our surgeons and advanced practice practitioners. Key Responsibilities: * Phone Management: Make, receive, and document phone calls with patients and other healthcare professionals. Direct calls to appropriate team members as needed. * Appointment Scheduling: Independently manage surgeon schedules, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. * Insurance Authorization: Obtain and follow up on insurance pre-authorizations. * Patient Communication: Coordinate appointments, provide updates, and communicate pre-surgical instructions. * Team Collaboration: Work independently but collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth operations.
