Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Collections Representative to work on-site from our Oyster Point in Newport News, VA. Job Summary: The Collections Representative communicates with members on their delinquent accounts by phone. negotiating and recommending solutions to improve member account status bringing it up to date. This position performs skip-tracing techniques and documents accounts accordingly to negotiate payment, following all regulatory and Langley guidelines. The Collections Representative exhibits professionalism and trustworthiness in their communications with members, monitoring and maintaining their assigned accounts through review, follow up, and implementation of payment options to navigate financial challenges. The Collections Representative demonstrates exceptional communication and listening skills with attention to detail and an ability to manage their time efficiently. The representative should be proficient in reading and understanding consumer credit reports and thrive in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment with high targets and tight deadlines.
