Summary

Under direct supervision prepares drawings, plans, and layouts, working from marked prints or sketches prepared by others. In accordance with Authority procedures does drawing revisions, detail work, lettering and reworks reproducible drawings. Files drawings and performs other clerical duties required in the drafting department. Assists in taking and recording field measurements and data. Works with and assists other of higher classifications.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High school graduate or equivalent, with primary training in drafting and at least one year of algebra and one year of geometry. Must demonstrate basic crafting kills such as ability to use drafting room equipment, including mechanical lettering devices, do acceptable freehand lettering, make elementary drawings using standard drafting techniques.

Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by the New York Power Authority and IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is $32.87 per hour.
