IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in our Ann Arbor, MI office. As a Senior Controls Engineer you will be responsible for providing control systems architecture/engineering design services to existing and new clients in the chemical, water, and wastewater treatment industries, general manufacturing, food and beverage, and petrochemical.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Meet with existing clients on a regular basis to discuss projects

  • Oversee hiring, training, and mentoring of staff

  • Market control engineering services to existing and new clients

  • Development of marketing literature

  • Development and design of control systems

  • Field troubleshooting of PLC and control devices

  • Commissioning and start-up of systems

  • Control Panel Design

  • PLC/HMI Programming

  • Development of Bill of Material (BOM) documentation

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities listed above and have demonstrated leadership traits

  • Self-starter

  • Ability to perform final quality control checks

  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs Control Systems Architecture/Engineering Design

  • Networking skills and server installations

  • Commissioning and start-up experience with control systems

  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC Programming / Factory Talk Development

  • Proficiency with Wonderware, Siemens PLC / DCS Programming and HMI Development, AutoCad Electrical

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Science)

  • minimum of 7 years of qualifying experience; 8 preferred

or

  • 13 years of experience or equivalent experience

  • This position not eligible for sponsorship

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds

  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or armsand grasp or pull

  • Will have exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

  • Ability to work in Industrial setting
