The Special Projects Coordinator will support the will support Goodwill of North Georgia's GoodBiz program. The GoodBiz program is a micro-entrepreneurial training program where individuals are prepared for self-employment by developing comprehensive business plans for entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners as well as meet deadlines and grant reporting requirements. This is a virtual position. However, some travel will be involved.

What we're looking for:

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, entrepreneurship and management, marketing, rehabilitation, community development, or related fields.
  • Three (3) or more years related work experience in business, public relations, writing, workforce development, community development or related fields.
  • Strong writing, planning and organizing, developing a business plan and communication skills. Strong working knowledge of project management and building strategic partnerships.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • Must possess keyboarding/typing skills of 55 WPM and the ability to produce professional business quality documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Ability to be flexible in hours and work locations (across greater service area) to accommodate the needs of the Program and Goodwill.
  • Ability to travel across the state of Georgia when required for meetings.
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of organizations and individuals.

  • Able to travel Goodwill of North Georgia 45 county service territory.


  • Must have access to reliable transportation and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).


What you'll be doing:



  • Role will support Goodwill of North Georgia's GoodBiz program. The GoodBiz program is a micro-entrepreneurial training program where individuals are prepared for self-employment by developing comprehensive business plans for entrepreneurship.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting business start-ups and entrepreneurial training.
  • Adept in community business engagement and partnership development
  • Previous business ownership experience is a plus.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends.
