Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Records Specialist to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. If you're passionate about managing medical records, ensuring compliance, and supporting quality patient care, this role is perfect for you. You'll play a key role in handling Release of Information (ROI) requests, helping ensure accuracy and confidentiality in healthcare documentation. Pay: $16-$18 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

As a Bilingual Medical Records Specialist, your main responsibilities will include managing Release of Information (ROI) requests with a focus on Continuing Care and Disability Determination Services. You'll handle requests for medical records, ensuring they comply with HIPAA regulations. Your tasks will involve processing requests, prioritizing based on turnaround times, validating information for accuracy, and using ROI software to log and classify requests. You will retrieve and upload relevant sections of patient charts, both electronically and from physical records, while performing quality control checks to protect patient privacy. Additionally, you will be responsible for invoicing, rejecting non-compliant requests, documenting communications, and reporting any unusual or potentially suspicious requests to your supervisor.

Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED required; a degree is preferred
  • Previous experience with ROI fulfillment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic knowledge of medical records and HIPAA regulations preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office is desirable
  • Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners
  • Self-motivated and able to maintain focus on tasks independently
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English; bilingual skills are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clients
  • Bilingual skills diserable
