Backend Software Engineer

Backend Software Engineer – (Employer is GeneDx, LLC in Stamford, CT) – Design, develop, and implement API based backend software systems using modern software frameworks and patterns to get, receive, store, analyze, and provide genomic related data as part of a clinically validated production system. Design, develop, and implement lightweight front-end UIs for administrative functions of backend systems. Build and support backend infrastructure using repeatable and modern patterns and frameworks across development environments. Co-manage and run development and implementation programs for new features of existing applications. Write and maintain design documentation, useage SOPs, and validation documentation for supported systems. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: Python development; MySQL and PostgreSQL; FastAPI, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS; Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform; Jira, Github, Github Actions, CI/CD, Agile Development, and Microservices Frameworks; and AWS or other cloud-computing provider. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States. Salary: $120,000-$130,681/year.  E-mail résumé to: shornecker@genedx.com.
