Shift - Monday to Friday, 8AM-4:30PM, OT as needed

What this job involves - The General Maintenance Technician will be performing general interior and exterior building maintenance. Includes preventative maintenance and repair work orders for minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.

What is the day to day?
Performs general interior and exterior building maintenance. Includes preventative maintenance and repair work orders for minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves
Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, door closer, doors, controllers
General office maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems
Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
Maintain light bulbs and ballasts.
Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
Recognizes danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
Maintains compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
Completes all required safety trainings as scheduled
Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license (if mobile).
Updates work order status in real time.
Escalates problems or issues to team in a timely manner.
Attends work and safety meetings as required.
Experience in controlled working environments a plus.
All other duties and tasks assigned.

Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25+ pounds.
The ability to see and hear details in order to identify and diagnose problems.
