The Commercial Sales Analyst, Renewal Commercial Sales functions as a key position in the Channel Partner Sales Department for the NRG Energy Commercial Services Division selling all commercial NRG branded products. The Commercial Sales Analyst reports to the Manager, Renewal Commercial Sales in Plano, TX. Broadly, the Commercial Sales Analyst, Renewal Commercial Sales is responsible for effectively managing relationships with 3rd party broker channels, achieving predetermined sales goals; executing on deal-specific pricing requests and proposals, managing and delivering ongoing broker/client commitments and issues, and promoting products and services offered by NRG Energy in the ERCOT, NYISO, and PJM service territories. The Commercial Sales Analyst will also aid in inter-departmental strategies and communications related to pricing desk performance and functions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals via executing deal-specific requests and proposals for renewing customers' Energy Service Agreements with NRG Energy.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of products, services, and contract language to aid third-party broker channels' understanding of the language.
  • Responsible for promoting NRG Energy branded products and services in our service territories.
  • Responsible for effectively managing relationships 3rd party broker channels to promote beneficial relationships to maximize closing ratios and profits on renewal sales.
  • Responsible for resolving account management issues via broker email requests.
  • Responsible for being a market expert on; products, value propositions of the NRG Energy brands, trends, and a general knowledge of commercial sustainability benefits.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills are required
  • Effective presentation skills for group speaking and educating 3rd party broker channel partners
  • Outgoing and friendly personality for managing and growing business relationships with 3rd party channel partners
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Strong data and analytic skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills for account management research and resolution
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience

  • Ability to travel as needed on assignments.

  • Effective and efficient in using Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • A blend of work performed in an office from a seated or standing position, and requiressome travel for making 3rd party channel visits in TX and the Northeast service areas.
