JOB MISSION:

To support the Global FP&A Team in the preparation of month end, forecast and budget reporting, by maintaining and controlling standard reporting distributed to internal stakeholders.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare standard month end reporting including Actuals, Forecast and Budget and assist with additional detail required from global finance partners.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets and to identify risks and opportunities
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to present financial performance metrics to stakeholders. Use data querying tools such as Power BI to extract, analyze, and visualize data effectively
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements and propose recommendations for improvements to current methods used in collecting data, performing variance analyses, and creating reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product marketing, development, costing) to drive margin improvement initiatives.
  • Other ad hoc finance duties as required where the business has requested further analysis.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Experience of working in Finance for at least 3-5 years
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Microsoft Office knowledge essential
  • Excel: Ability to manipulate large sets of data in Excel, standardize information received from several sources/ formats and a working knowledge of standard formula, functions, pivot tables and produce graphs and charts.
  • Powerpoint: Create effective presentations with data visualizations and graphics for internal use
  • Oracle EPM and Microsoft D365 experience preferred but not required
  • Prior experience and interest in leveraging advanced technologies (Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, SQL queries, Python) in Finance to enhance reporting and analytics
  • Comfortable communicator as this role requires continuous verbal and written communication to internal and external business partners globally at a variety of levels
  • Team first mentality with the desire to continuously collaborate
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time organization and ability to work efficiently in a hybrid office environment

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
