Family Description

Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimizing, operating, and maintaining phases.

Subfamily Description

NW Design & Optimization (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimization and / or managing of the optimization of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects.



  • Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
  • Develops / Reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide Design covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
  • Organizes field measurements and laboratory tests.
  • Performs network audits, especially in cases where fault or problems exist.
  • Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Supports experts in developing network configuration file and interface analysis
  • Develop network architecture and services designs with the best architecture available to support our customer's services.
  • Produce network implementation and migration plans.
  • Document configuration of equipment and services.
  • Test and support networks in various stages of deployment.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize the network operations and performance.
  • Work with internal technical teams for product placement and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.

Knowledge & Experience

Management experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organisational practices and precedents. Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.

You have
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent practical work experience.
* Experience in MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP and RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS.
* Experience in QoS implementation/testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
* Expertise troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring the noted IP networking protocols.
* A customer mindset and solid written and verbal communication skills to end-clients.
It would be nice if you also had:
* Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE and/or Juniper JNCIE or equivalent certification.
* Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, and NSP).
