  • Estimated hourly rate: $30.15 (minimum) - $37.69 (midpoint) - $45.23 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Engineering Dev Tech Mechanical, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Engineering Development Technician Level 2 is responsible for the performance of routine and semi-complex test functions which require the application of standard hydraulic and/or mechanical test techniques, include interpretation of written test procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. This is a hands-on role in an aerospace hydraulic test lab. What You Will Be Doing
  • Sets up and performs testing on new, modified and production product designs under operational conditions per written and verbal instructions from the test engineer with moderate assistance or supervision.
  • Participates in installation of equipment in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source and instrumentation.
  • Records test results (numerical and graphical data); reviews test results for compliance to test objectives and documents test progress.
  • Analyzes test results in relation to design or rated specification and test objectives; modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
  • Solves routine problems with little or no assistance.
  • Ensures laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated appropriately.
What We Are Looking For
  • US - High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. Coursework in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry desired required.
  • Less than 2 years, 1 year Development technician experience with proficiency in mechanical or electrical systems required.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical, hydraulic, and electronic schematics.
  • Ability/desire to learn new instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Competent understanding of component function and testing. Learning assembly and test processes, drawings, and geometric tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot basic instrumentation.
  • Competent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Some travel may be required.
