Executive Assistant (EA) Coordinator for the Department of Emergency Medicine
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an individual interested in joining our administrative support team as an Executive Assistant (EA) Coordinator at the University of Virginia (UVA). The Department of Emergency Medicine supports UVA Medical Center as a Level I Trauma Center. UVA Emergency Departmentcares for over 70,000 patients per year, has 80 private patient rooms, 45,000 square feet, and designated treatment areas for pediatrics, trauma/resuscitation, and behavioral health. The ED includes adult and pediatric services, active air and ground transport programs, and is supported by a poison control center. The Executive Assistant Coordinator position provides advanced, diversified, and confidential support to the Office of the Executive Leadership of the Department of Emergency Medicine with primary focus on the Chair of Emergency Medicine and Chief Operating Officer. The EA will professionally represent the department to internal and external constituents and maintains strong relationships with executive assistants across the UVA Health System, UVA Grounds, and other agencies and organizations. Qualified Candidates must have a high school diploma with at least six years of experience, a bachelor's degree may substitute for experience. Preferences will be given to candidates within human resources, academic healthcare and supporting complex calendars with use of Microsoft Office suite.
