Tampa Microwave is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Manpack & Fly Away satellite terminals designed and built for the expeditionary user community to guarantee communications connectivity in the most austere environments. Tampa Microwave primarily serves Federal and Department of Defense markets.

We are seeking to fill a Systems Administrator position located in our Clearwater, FL location. This position reports to the Facility Security Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support physical and virtual servers operating Windows Server 2016-2019.
  • Support and Maintain Nutanix hosts and virtual infrastructure.
  • Support Windows infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs in multiple domains on-premises. Cloud based applications are not used at the Tampa Microwave facility.
  • Designing, developing, administrating, troubleshooting, documenting, securing, debugging, and implementing hardware, operating system, and application software for Windows based operating systems.
  • Increase day-to-day operational efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts.
  • Provide support with other team members to develop an overarching architectural plan for the data center.
  • Manage and maintain NAS, SAN, virtualized storage solutions.
  • Provide technical support for the Storage and Backup management and monitoring solutions.
  • Manage and maintain all the above on multiple domains, isolated and non-isolated networks.
  • Work with management and team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements, systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Serve as site lead - Key contact for all-specific responsibilities and emergency situations regarding the site.
Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Current, active US Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Education: 4-year IT degree or equivalent IT work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or System Administration.
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting of support issues on but not limited to Windows Operating systems and applications, Virtual infrastructure, and storage technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational abilities, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with server OS including Windows Server 2016 and 2019.
  • Knowledge of Storage technologies, data backup technologies, and tape hardware architecture.
  • Experience creating and providing user guidance, documentation, and consultation.
  • Demonstrated capacity to be a self-starter and work remotely with limited reliance on supervision.
  • Experience utilizing a ticketing system such as Jira Service Management.
  • Experience with STIG implementation and security focused mindset a plus.
  • Working knowledge of networking principles.
  • PowerShell Scripting knowledge.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift to 60 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values. Preferred but not required.
  • Time management and organizational skills are necessary.

Preferred but not required qualifications: (optional)

  • M365/O365 experience a plus.
  • Experience with project management a plus.
  • Experience with Nutanix hyper-converged technology a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology a plus.
