As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist of the Microbiology lab, you will perform complex laboratory testing, analyze results, contribute to quality patient care through accurate and timely diagnostic services, and assist with various technical procedures in the Bacteriology, Virology and Parasitology sections. Primary responsibilities include performing urine cultures, blood cultures, gram stains, PCR's, as well as troubleshooting laboratory instruments and reagent preparation.

In addition to a competitive salary range, this position is also eligible for shift differentials and bonus pay.

Salary Range: $53.31 - $71.04/hour

* Current, California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Microbiology Scientist license.

* Bachelor's degree.

* Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays

* Strong educational background and advanced training in Microbiology.

* Previous technical and practical experience in Bacteriology, Virology, and/or Parasitology.

* Experience with laboratory automation systems.

* Proficient computer skills.

* Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
