Overview

Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities or those in need of neurological rehabilitation.

Our services include special education, vocational training, supported employment, structured day programs, group home and apartment programs both on-campus and in the community, short-term behavioral stabilization services for children, and in-home and outpatient rehabilitation services.

As a nonprofit organization, we are solely committed to supporting people with special needs and their families, to help make it One World. For Everyone. Bancroft is looking for a Medical Liason to work at our Adult Day Program in Woodstown, NJ.



Responsibilities

    Administers medication(s) as per regulations of the Department of Human Services: Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and following all applicable protocols.
  • Completes weekly audits of the Medication Administration Record, prescriptions, and medication(s) along with nursing and submits audit to the Lead Medication Technician.
  • Reports variations from the norm to the on-site Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (as applicable).
  • Conduct nursing supplies inventory as directed by the Lead Medical Liason.
  • Perform EKG study within prescribed protocol.
  • Manage medication list via online and other means as applicable, including, but not limited to: Copy medication list to provide for IHP's, IDT's, parents, auditors, surveyors, etc.; Confirm that the MAR is correct; Confirm that pharmacy has received scanned copies of orders if there is a discrepancy during an MAR audit.


Qualifications

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required.

Special Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form required. Basic math skills required. Effective interpersonal skills, a strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals required, and the ability to implement crisis intervention techniques required. Operative knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel spreadsheets preferred. Attainment of CPR, First Aid, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and Medication certification within first 90 days of employment required. Valid driver's license required in incumbent's legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions. As well as one year minim
