Summary: This is a Monday-Friday day shift position (4-10 hour shifts with 1 flexible day off) Closed Major Holidays. No weekends and no on-call requirement past 2300. The Scarborough Surgery Center provides care to patients of all ages, requiring procedures such as but not limitedto Total Joint Replacement, Robotics, Neuro, ENT, Ortho, GYN/GU. The center is designed around the comfort of patients requiring surgeries that may require an overnight stay, this freestanding, 59,000-SF outpatient surgical center is set on a remote campus and includes: 10 operating rooms The Surgical Technologist II role is responsible for ensuring all necessary elements are in place for surgical procedures. Participates in the teaching of staff and students and meets all criteria for Surgical Technologist I. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology required. 2. License/Certifications: Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within three months of start date or at discretion of Director for positions at MMC. Certification preferred at SMHC. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: One year of experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Surgical Technologist I role. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5.
