Description Mid Coast Hospital Summary: Under the direction of a Cardiologist, theEcho Sonograph Technologist - Cardiography role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required. 2. License/Certifications: Eligible for registration in Cardiac Sonography through the ARDMS or CCI within 6 months of hire. Full registration is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5.
