This is a very active position, supporting all areas.

Responsible for the flow of patients throughout the hospital

Responsible for coordination of inpatient admissions and adjusting resources to meet patient needs as needs and demands change

This position is primarily located at Maine Medical Center Sanford supporting the Biddeford campus when needed(*Formerly Southern Maine Health Care)

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in the ED or ICU; or preferably 5 years of med surg in addition to leadership experience

Position Summary

The Nursing Supervisor - MMC BID SAN role directs Nursing Services operations and acts as hospital administrator responsible for coordinating institutional activities on the assigned shift on all assigned campuses. Responsible for directing and overseeing department employees and activities and supporting and enforcing hospital and departmental policies, procedures and objectives.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or Associate's Degree in Nursing with equivalent experience required.
  2. License/Certifications:Current Registered Nurse license from the Maine Board of Nursing required. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Current ACLS Certification preferred.
  3. Experience:Five years of experience in acute care setting required. Three years of experience in hospital admissions related environment preferred. Experience in day to day oversight of clinical staff required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
